About Eternity of Magic

Eternity of Magic is the collection of tales unfolding in the continent of Westerland, set in the namesake timeframe of the Late Eternity of Magic. As the last remnants of the Stonemason hegemony have fallen apart, the continent finds itself in the turmoils of a power vacuum. Political and ethnic borders are reforming, as new factions are claiming their stake in the new world order, while the heirs of the Stonemason civilization struggle to adjust.

Concept

Eternity of Magic is a collection of stories for fans of convoluted epic fantasy. While different strings of the main story will be told via Youtube short stories, the heart of the story lies within its worldbuilding and extensive opportunities for backreading. No character will be introduced without a backstory to be read on the Fandom Wiki. Every place and item has its own origin story. Follow along in an eternity of side tracks and additional facts.

1. The Northeast. A deeply troubled land, struggling to revive its former splendor.
Once a sprawling hub for science and cultural exchange, not much has been left for the people of the Northeast after the war with the northern cities. The Governess Charlotte of Rozendale is dancing the game of politics, to keep the fragile union of four ethnicities together, that safeguards the autonomy of the Northeast.

A lonely tower in a desert of nothing, the old Stonemason capital pierces the sky. One wonders why anybody would ever build a home in a desolate place like this. However, the century old tower city radiates a will of its own and unwelcome guests never stay for long.

Storylines

Rooster in the Basket

A crown of ostentatious feathers shall distract from the secret within. Life in the Dale of Roses is full of hardships and privations. Once the splendid center of commerce and trade in the Northeastern Realm, the city of Batlingen lies in ruins, stained deeply by the scourge that swept it away three centuries ago. On the opposite side of lake Batling lies a small settlement of the Rozen people, strenuously reclaiming the lands inch by inch, however the deteriorating situation in the union threatens to spoil their efforts. A tale of roosters and sparrows.

The twin sisters Haidemary and Hildegard are preparing with their flock for the winter. A perfect storm of misfortune has hit the Rozen settlers. Wars in the Far North and the southern Riverlands has broken down all trade flows. While an early winter has ravaged the harvest. Embolded by the lack of travelers abandoned starving from the early cold, scores of packlings are streaming into the dale down from the mountains. Just a cycle short of adulthood, the twin sister's flock has been assigned to foraging the nearby forests until relieve from the capital arrives. What they don't know yet, is that they will be the price to be paid for the salvation of the settlement.
